Good morning beautiful people! This week was absolutely amazing and a very important one for my spiritual growth! Guys! Preach My Gospel 2.0 came out! It's so amazing. I've not read it all but the parts that I've read so far are remarkable. It's definitely inspired, and a definite benefit of the ongoing restoration and modern day revelation. It now has things specifically dedicated to member missionary work as well, so get reading ;). Here's a paragraph I like: "The words disciple and discipline come from the same root word that means “learner” or “pupil.” To be a disciple of Christ means that you seek to follow Him and keep His commandments. It means that you consistently learn and teach of Christ." For the past nearly year and a half I've had the opportunity to see the importance of discipline both in myself and in others. Gleðilegan lýðveldisdag! Saturday was Iceland independence day! We got to go to a viking festival, it was pretty cool, but talking to pagans wasn't exactly the most effective way to find people who're ready to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ... We did get to meet one of the friends from my old area though! He's awesome. My love for Iceland and Icelanders definitely increased too! Elders Pearson and Whittle went to Akureyri for ZL splits, so I was with Elder Richards for a couple days, and we met a high amount of interesting people. One such person happened to be this super sweet old lady who just happened to be a Jehovah's witness missionary. We were at a bus station to try to street contact, and right when we walked around the corner, she grabbed us and was like "Hey, will you talk to this guy? He's been talking to me for an hour" So we start talking to this man. He had a very unique appearance and out fit style. He was catholic and supposedly really...
