Eldfjall?
How've you been? How's the weather? This week was pretty good! Remember those earthquakes? Well last monday after I sent my email, the volcano decided to erupt. At one point the fissure was nearly 1km long. As of now, the area is closed, apparently when the earth's insides want to be the earth's outsides, it releases toxic gas and so if the wind isn't cooperating, we can't hike there safely ;-;. But we'll see.
Preach My Gospel 2.0 is epic! I've read almost the whole thing now. IDK if I mentioned this so I'll mention it again, but the church published a whole second edition. It's awesome. complete overhaul! It's really increased my testimony of the ongoing restoration.
Elder Whittle and I are doing well together. We went contacting in a bus station, and talked with this guy from Venezuela. It was only in Spanish, but it was a really solid contact! Gift of tongues works miracles.
Gloria came to church with her friend! At the end of Sunday school I asked him if he'd like to learn more about the gospel and he said yes!
This past week I've learned more the importance of persistence. If you send only one message to someone per week, or aren't constantly or at least often working on something, odds are nothing much is gonna happen. It's the same with spiritual matters. Becoming a scriptorian takes consistent study, answers to prayers take consistent praying, pondering, and listening. All spiritual capabilities need to be practiced and strengthened like our physical abilities. Don't forget to practice!
