Anointed's well... anointed.

This week was absolutely crazy. First, 3 missionaries were supposed to come to Iceland on friday or saturday, but despite having their visas, The missionary department decided to send them to their reassignments. bruh. President Mattsson wasn't having it. He email President Marcus B. Nash of the Mission department and explained what was going on. On that same email he CC'd Elder Quinton L. Cook. RIP whoever made the decision to send them to their reassignments. Anyways, they came early sunday morning! After we picked them up from the airport we went the Allen's house where we had breakfast and Elder Gunderson interviewed the new Elders. Elders Morales, Morel, and Mijares. After that he called president and decided who should train who! I'm training Elder Morales! He's a beast. I think we'll get along well. I also have to learn Spanish for real now... On Satuday Anointed was baptized! It was crazy for sure. 15 minutes before we were schedueled to start, half of ...

3 baptisms this weekend???

Image
Good afternoon to all of you! This week was prettttttttty good, not gonna lie. This Saturday there were 3 baptisms! 1 was our friend Jan Fan. She was a referral from a member named Magnús who was baptized in January of last year! Magnús was able to perform the baptism as well! It's amazing to see his growth over the year, from his own baptism all the way to baptising his friend that he introduced to the gospel! Jan's awesome as well! I've got high hopes for her continued progression! The other 2 were a mother and son that I had the privilege of teaching a few times in the Spanish branch named Katherine and Angel. They're pretty great! (I had to translate in their baptismal interviews too lol). It's pretty remarkable to have 3 convert baptisms in one chapel and on the same day, especially here in Iceland! We got transfer news. It was the scheme that we submitted to President Mattsson a month or so ago. I'll be training one of the new guys (undecided yet which), a...

Splits in Akureyri

Image
Yuppp. No email last week, I tried writing it like 3 times and it kept deleting. The Sunday before yesterday Elder Mattson, Pelissie, and I went to Akureyri. We were starting the first part of the coming transfer by swapping Elder Pelissie and Pollock, but we also were helping the Elders in Akureyri move apartments. Let me just say, their bathroom was disgusting. I spent 1.5 hours cleaning it and it was still not good. Their whole apartment was gross. But the new one is pretty nice! I went on splits with Elder Hill and Elder Fischbeck. They're both great Elders! Elder Fischbeck and I got to talk about ideas for finding because Akureyri's such a small area. He's just finishing up training and is doing great! With Elder Hill we talked more about being consecrated and living a missionary lifestyle, not just doing a missionary job. He's an excellent missionary! On Thursday we drove down to Reykjavík again! Elder Carr and I got back together and started planning Daríel's...
