3 baptisms this weekend???
This week was prettttttttty good, not gonna lie. This Saturday there were 3 baptisms! 1 was our friend Jan Fan. She was a referral from a member named Magnús who was baptized in January of last year! Magnús was able to perform the baptism as well! It's amazing to see his growth over the year, from his own baptism all the way to baptising his friend that he introduced to the gospel! Jan's awesome as well! I've got high hopes for her continued progression!
The other 2 were a mother and son that I had the privilege of teaching a few times in the Spanish branch named Katherine and Angel. They're pretty great! (I had to translate in their baptismal interviews too lol). It's pretty remarkable to have 3 convert baptisms in one chapel and on the same day, especially here in Iceland! We got transfer news. It was the scheme that we submitted to President Mattsson a month or so ago. I'll be training one of the new guys (undecided yet which), and I'll also be released from being ZL! I'll be staying in the mímisvegur apartment until we move to a new one after a bit. Something surprising however, was that President told us that it was up to us how to split up the 3 areas in Reykjavík! We've got some talking to do about that. I'll probably be heading the spanish area (My trainee should speak fluent spanish), but I'm excited!
This week we went on splits with Elders Whittle and O'barr! It was good to be able to work with them! Elder Whittle goes home this friday ;-;.
