Last transfer calls 😅

Good morning everyone! I hope you've been having a swell week! This week was pretty good! Last monday we got a new friend named Fernando. He's really cool and we're tying to help him to get his own witness that God is there and that there is a plan for everything! On wednesday we found 2 more friends, Gabriela and Lori. They were referrals from a member. They're both super nice and I think they'll connect well with the branch. Yesterday we started teaching the 9 year old son of 2 newly baptized members! He was so excited to learn and is super excited to be baptized! He knows so much already from primary, which was really cool to see! Shout out to primary teachers everywhere. It snowed practically all week... Kind of tiring tbh, but things are going well! Saturday morning we got transfer calls from the ZLs. Sunday will start the beginning of my last transfer (6 weeks) as a missionary. It's kind of surreal to be honest. Now I've gotta start thinking about my...

Zone conference

This week was pretty crazy! We went on splits with the ZLs and had some pretty productive conversations and got a lot done! President Mattsson came to Iceland and we had zone conference too! The ZLs gave a training about responsibility and accountability based off Elder Lynn G. Robbins BYU speech. We had an awesome lesson with Carlos and met him with Jared, one of the members of the 2nd branch. He's one of the best teachers I've ever met. It was insane.

Hello

Good Afternoon everyone! I hope you're doing well. This week I'd say was fairly productive. We're fully moved into our new apartment! It's really close to the church, which is really nice because we go to the church a lot (surprise) but now it's about 45 minutes away from the places with high foot traffic for street contacting. In terms of numbers things didn't look too hot this week, but we're getting things going. The holidays were a little rough to be honest. They're the darkest weeks of the entire year, and people are a whole lot more occupied than usual. Some of the bus stations were dead as people went on holiday. When Elder Morales and I moved into this area, there was two friends. One of which hadn't been taught in 4 months while the other hadn't been taught in 2. There were a few potentials though, we've been working with them and trying to help them progress and I think soon we'll start seeing that. One's name is Diego. His ...

Happy new year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody! These past 2 weeks have been chaotic for sure! Elder Morales and I have started working together and I'm trying to train him well! We're also in process of moving to 3 new missionary apartments so we've been working on that as well. Elder Morales and I should be in our new apartment by the end of the week! This week we messaged a man named Angel, whom I had met at Hlemmur a month or so ago! We were able to schedule a lesson for Saturday which had gone really well! The other Elders had gotten his number and I actually didn't place his face to the number because this was the first time he'd had a formal lesson. I assumed I had not met him. So he came and I remembered that we had actually met! A member showed up to the church and we were able to invite him into the lesson! It went really well! We plan to meet him again tomorrow! Yesterday we went to the Allen's, an amazing missionary couple's house to celebrate new ...
