Góðan Daginn gott fólk! Þessi viku er hvítasunnaviku aftur. Ég er næstum því búinn við þjálfun mín. Ég sá fyrsta sólset minn í gær, en sól var ekki farið. This week was pretty long! We taught our first full lesson in Spanish, but we kinda maybe sort of used a member who basically taught the whole thing. It was awesome though, and the man is super positive! We also went on splits with the zone leaders. I went to Selfoss, which is about 45 minutes east and a little south, with Elder Koivisto. He's from Finland, and is a walking legend. We implemented some of the teachings from when elder Kapischke came and did the Iceland conference. Things are definitely picking up here! Iceland as a whole has found over 20 new friends, which I believe quintuples last transfer's numbers, but I'm not positive. On Saturday we started filming a dance video for the "if you believe" Church youth music song. Apparently I'm a good dancer because they made me stand towards the fron...

Góðan daginn! This week was pretty interesting! Last week we were on fire and we had so many people progressing, but this week only 2/10 of our lessons actually happened. A bunch of people didn't show up, or ghosted us. It's alright though! Last week President Mattsson challanged us to do 2/3 hours of contacting in ways that capitilized better on the beautiful skandinavian summer, because the winter is kinda horrible for outside finding, as nobody is outside. So we've been doing that and it's been pretty awesome! I wish we had been doing that more since I've been here. I'd say the Iceland missionary culture is changing for the better! We're more hopeful and excited to do the work. Also just a blurb about how President Mattsson's a legend. He has the exact suit that Daniel Craig wore in the first James Bond movie (which I've never seen), but that's a pretty legendery item to own. I can't even imagine how expensive it must've been. My br...

Góðan daginn! This week was pretty cool! The assistant Presidents came from denmark came to do some trainings and for zone conference. They're super awesome! We went on exchanges, and while I was on exchanges with one of them, we went to teach some newly baptized members a lesson, so it was just me who could speak Icelandic. It went well though! We stayed for nearly and hour, and other than the AP's testimony which he shared in english, I taught in Icelandic the whole time. President Mattsson is super awesome too! I don't remember if I told you guys this last week or not, but he said he's the oldest mission president in the world. Despite that, he's got so much energy that makes me wanna work so much harder. One of the things he talked about was being IN the movie of the second harvest, not just watching it. And keeping up our energy and drive too. That made me super happy because since we've been here, sometimes it felt like we were almost lazy. We're do...

Hi guys! So we taught this lesson to a man named Friðrik, and it was super awesome! But afterwards, the bus system would've taken us an hour to get to church, so we called one of the senior couples, who agreed to pick us up on their way to church. So we had like 30 minutes to kill and decided to go knocking around the area. We went to this apartment complex and started buzzing peoples doors. The first door we buzzed, the lady answered and she said she had her on faith and that was good for her. She was acting pretty offended that we'd even attempt to knock on her door as missionaries, even though we said we had not intention of forcing anyone to convert, and we just wanted to talk about faith. So we went to the next door and the lady also wasn't interested. The 3rd door we buzzed, the lady let us in, and since we're in a trio we can do that because it's not supposed to be 2 guys and one girl for safety reasons. This lady was super old though, and super deaf. She di...
