APs

Góðan daginn!

This week was pretty cool! The assistant Presidents came from denmark came to do some trainings and for zone conference. They're super awesome! We went on exchanges, and while I was on exchanges with one of them, we went to teach some newly baptized members a lesson, so it was just me who could speak Icelandic. It went well though! We stayed for nearly and hour, and other than the AP's testimony which he shared in english, I taught in Icelandic the whole time.

President Mattsson is super awesome too! I don't remember if I told you guys this last week or not, but he said he's the oldest mission president in the world. Despite that, he's got so much energy that makes me wanna work so much harder. One of the things he talked about was being IN the movie of the second harvest, not just watching it. And keeping up our energy and drive too. That made me super happy because since we've been here, sometimes it felt like we were almost lazy. We're doing the work, but it sometimes felt like we were stuck in this routine pattern and not working with all our might mind and strength to fulfill the work.

But the work is definetly picking up, and it's awesome. I've had to pull out my insignificant spanish knowledge a few times, and it's actually not been horrible! Elder Richards knows alot more spanish than I. late last week we were fully prepared to try and teach someone in spanglish, complete with a spanish book of Mormon and restoration pamphlet.

One day we were at the bus stop, and we were talking to these people in Icelandic, and about learning the language and stuff. I was trying to say something about the grammar and how it's pretty complicated, but I couldn't remember the word for grammar. Instead of saying "málfræði" I said "afmælið" which means birthday/anniversary. But I definitly see myself growing in the language which is super awesome.

Bless!
