Treasures in Heaven

Góðan daginn!

This week was super short. We did a lot of Facebook work, partially because I had to write a talk for church, so I was working on that as Elder Whittle worked on Facebook. The talk went fairly well I'd say, nobody left or threw tomatoes at me! Then after church, a person named Danny, who´s only in Iceland for 3 weeks to work about an hour north of Akureyri, wanted to go knocking with us! It was super awesome because he had a car, so we were able to go some places that we normally can't reach.

We went to lunch with a member, and they chose a little fast food type place that sold us deep fried hot dogs, covered in bacon I believe (not positive). then drowned in fries covered in cheese, and some spices on the top not to mention sauce in the bun. Any more than one, and you'll probably have an instantaneous heart attack.

DANG. Icelandic is a bully. I'm struggling with increasing my vocabulary, but Elder whittle and I have been studying extra hard and it´s awesome to see our growth. Elder Whittle's awesome by the way. We work super well together. In the MTC we received a book on Icelandic grammar for foreigners, only it was in Icelandic so I thought it would be forever until I could read it, but after nine when we're back in our apartment, I've been reading through it, and other than the occasional word I have to look up, I'm actually understanding it! It's super helpful.

Last Monday we got a new friend named Skaiste! She´s super awesome, and we´re super excited to help her feel God's love poured out on her life!

My talk was about treasures in Heaven. There´s some awesome scriptures in Matthew Chapter 6 (one of my favorite chapters now)! Y'all should give it a read. Then also D&C 137:9.
