ég veit ekki hvað ég á að nefna þessi
Ég á kannski 3 vina sem geta lesið þessi án google þýðing, sko hvað á ég að segja? Bara veit ég það ekki. ég elska ykkur!
Hi guys! How have you been? This week was pretty unique!
First off, we got transfer news! I'll be training here in akureyri! I'll be training Elder Mattson! President Mattsson's pretty excited for him to be in our mission, even though their names are different by an 's'. I'm super excited! He gets here Wednesday, and we'll be on Thursday when Elder Whittle and his comp drive down to Kópavogur. I'm really excited! It's gonna be so fun to work with someone who has the MTC fire, I miss when I used to have it. (that sounds trunkier than it is).
We had a branch conference this weekend! I got called to be the first councilor in the elder's quorum presidency. That will be really exciting to work on in the future. Also, breaking news. The store 'Bónus' released some drippy merch, which FINALLY came to Akureyri. I got an awesome sweater that I'm sure will be worn at some point when I'm allowed to walk around with the picture of a pig with a black eye on my shirt.
My Icelandic has been really progressing (from my non-Icelandic perspective of speaking it). I've been focusing extra on getting the declincions right as I speak, and to memorize which case is caused by which preposition. It's really useful. It has been really cool to see though! In the MTC I was given an Icelandic grammar book for foreigners, the only catch was that it's in 100 percent Icelandic. I thought I'd not be able to read it and understand what I read until nearly the end of my mission, but I've been reading through, and I can get basically everything by reading the explanations, then seeing the examples fill in the gaps of my Icelandic knowledge. I'm still no master, but it's really cool to see how I'm progressing, and to know that there's no way I could learn this much of a new language in the 8 months since I've started studying.
Jónína's doing well! She's so amazing. She's working hard through prayer and trusting the lord to receive the blessings He has for her. It's so amazing watching people's hearts change as they come to Christ. Sigurbjörn's doing well too! He came to our branch activity on Saturday!h
Love y'all!
