Góðan og blessaðan daginn! How are you guys doing this week? Sorry I missed last week, we went on an epic p-day trip. I think I already put photos on that album though if you want to check it out. The past 7 days were pretty crazy not gonna lie. Sunday: After church we made brownies to take to a dinner with the rest of the Elders. We met in one of the apartments, ate some food, then had a little devotional. It was pretty fun. We also got permission for the 8 of us to spend the night there, so we had a slumber party essentially. It was really fun. Monday: We went to snæfellsnes as a zone. It was pretty legendary! After that we went to the YSA fhe and had a pretty good evening. Apparently Sister Bingham (one of the sisters serving here now) has a foot full of lead. It's funny though because she's the most mellow person, but she knows how to whip a vehicle. We're all still in shock. Tuesday: We got to go on splitz with the zone leaders. I was with Elder Pearson. We went t...

The testaments live

Hvað er að frétta hjá ykkur?? Hvernig hafið þið það? Hvernig hefur það verið? What's popping friends? This week was pretty cool! The APs came to do exchanges! Elder Swift and Elder Johnson are absolute missionary machines. ALSO, my year mark was tuesday, more on that later. Last Sunday, the APs messaged and asked what I wanted to focus on in our comp studies when they were here. I told them that I felt I had been plateauing recently, you know? Not growing as much as I'd like in the language and spirituality and other things. They shared this awesome talk about the pioneers, patience, and letting time do its thing. Here's the talk: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/1997/04/keep-walking-and-give-time-a-chance?lang=eng They also gave excellent training in district council about humility, gratitude, and pushing forward when things are going well! They talked about how it's possible to be pleased/happy with the results of your labors, but also r...

365 days???????????????????????????

Today is my 365th day as a missionary. That's so weird. Tomorrow is my one year anniversary. I will theoretically have less time left than time I've served already. I got set apart today but a year ago. This week was pretty awesome! On Thursday we had another english class! This time some venezuelan RMs came and shared their testimony at the end. It was super awesome. I'm hopeful for that class! I think several will accept the gospel. This sunday was another miracle too! We've been praying for more spanish members to move to our area to help support the ones here and our friends. So on sunday in church, a young man named Gabriel walks in. He's a member from Honduras! It's amazing. And he said he was a ward missionary there and would love to teach with us! The weather has been beautiful all week! Spring is coming for sure. The Moss on lava fields is turning green again, so now everyone can say 'did you know Greenland is ice and Iceland is green??' 😆...
